25 years of health shoes - time for change

The kybun Joya Group is carrying out the generational change from health shoe pioneer Karl Müller III (MBT, kybun) to his son Karl Müller IV (Joya), to mark the 25th anniversary of the health shoes from eastern Switzerland. Great tasks await the junior -  two traditional Swiss shoe brands are integrated into the group.

Everything took its origin in 1997. Inspired by walking in the rice fields of Korea, Karl III developed the world's first health shoe MBT. Son Karl IV has always enjoyed looking over his father's shoulder and also developed diligently at a young age.

 

In 2008, father and son founded their own companies. Karl III founded kybun and Karl IV founded Joya with Claudio Minder. They set out independently for a while to enable people to move pain-free into old age through their health shoes. Core of both shoes at any time, the soft-elastic sole that imitates the natural movement of the feet on soft ground, thus protecting joints and the back and exercising deep muscles.

 

Their paths crossed again in 2019 and since then they have been successfully working together again. Subsequently, they founded kybun Joya, this company stands out especially for its health centers and a holistic solution treatment for pain in the musculoskeletal system.

 

Now we write the year 2022, the East Swiss health shoes celebrate their 25th anniversary, Karl III is retired and Karl IV takes over the management of the kybun Joya Group. Together with the managing directors Claudio Minder (Joya) and Urs Koller (kybun), he has big plans and will make the group of companies a flagship for Swiss Family Businesses.
